Recent Project – Noise Survey in Oxford
Our client based in Glasgow and a leading air conditioner supplier contacted us to carry out a noise survey in the centre of Oxford. Our brief was to carry out a BS4142 assessment in order to confirm the suitability of proposed air conditioning units being installed on the roof-top of the city centre shopping complex would not breach acceptable noise levels.
As is our normal practice, we contacted the local authority on behalf of our client prior to the site survey to discuss the survey methodology and to agree with the Environmental Health Officer that all parameters required would be adhered to, this approach we find is invaluable in order to maximise the smooth running of any project.
After leaving the noise monitoring equipment in situ at the site for several days, on collection we were able to present comprehensive and reliable data for the noise report. The noise report was then issued in draft format for our client to peruse upon which the final version was issued.
As standard practice, the report was written in a structured manner as to be clearly understood and included noise mitigation measures and recommendations.
